M96 presents: Sunday the 13th
M96 Productions is proud to announce that their debut show in NYC, M96 Presents: Sunday the 13th COMPLETELY sold out! Hosted at Medusa Arts Studio and with a very limited budget, they created an impactful night full of collaboration and creativity. With over 19 artists ranging from Broadway dancers to prolific standup comedians, burlesque performers, and talented actors, Sabina Demidovich and Madison Coyle co-produced a show that not only fueled inspiration and exceeded expectations, but invited the world into what M96 plans to create in the upcoming season. In 2016, the stars aligned to bring Madison Coyle and Sabina Demidovich together in a creative writing class at The New School. From that moment on, a friendship quickly turned into a best friendship, and that best friendship quickly became a professional writing partnership. This two-woman creative team bonded over their love for storytelling, comedy, horror, and all common creative interests. They spent their days in college dreaming of running their own production company, producing their own shows with their favorite actors, casting themselves in productions they haven’t been able to work on quite yet, and all the while, they wrote. They wrote plays, short films, features, pilots, and everything in between. One day, something shifted. They began to ask themselves if it was time to share their stories with the world. If it was time to do what scares them. If it was time to go for it. And that answer was yes, it was time to follow their dreams. It was time to create a production company.
After spending too many unpaid hours debating what to name said production company (we will spare you the options), traveling to and from one another every night on a NYCT bus that is never on time, they realized where they physically sat was the obvious answer to their question…the M96 bus.
